SONG Yonghui

Mr. Song Yonghui, born in November 1968 in Linyi City, Shandong Province, is the Professor and Ph.D. supervisor.

In July 1999, he received his Ph.D. degree from the Research Center for Eco-Environmental Sciences, Chinese Academy of Sciences. In January 2003, he received his Doctoral degree from the University of Karlsruhe, Germany. From January 2000 to September 2003, he consecutively conducted technical research on phosphorus recovery from wastewater resources in the University of Karlsruhe and Karlsruhe Research Center of Helmholtz, Germany. Since October 2003, he has started working at the CRAES, mainly conducting technical research on governance and management of urban and regional water environment, technical support to the Ministry of Environmental Protection on water environmental emergency risk management, water environmental management in urban area and river basin. Since 2008, he has successively served as the Chief Expert of the Scientific and Technological Innovation Base of Urban Water Environmental Research and the Director of the Institute of Water Environmental Sciences at CRAES.

He has published over 300 papers with more than 10 monographs, and more than 20 invention patents, wining 8 provincial-level and ministerial-level awards. He is now the Vice President of CRAES.
