Mr. Li Haisheng, born in Tangshan City, Hebei Province, is the Professor and Ph.D. supervisor.
He graduated from Jilin University with a major in Environmental Sciences in July 1986. After graduation, he started his work in the Institute of Water Environment Sciences of the Chinese Research Academy of Environmental Sciences (CRAES).
From December 1990 to July 1993, he worked as an Intern Researcher and Assistant Professor respectively at the Toxic Chemicals Management Office and the Appraisal Center for Environment & Engineering (ACEE), the State Environmental Protection Administration (SEPA).
From 1993 to 1997, he served as the teaching assistant and assistant researcher at the Department of Oceanography of University of Hawaii.
From 1998 to 2004, he successively held the posts of Department Manager, Deputy Director, Director, and Party Branch Secretary at ACEE.
From August 2000 to December 2004, he was a part-time Ph.D. candidate in Chemical Engineering at Beijing University of Chemical Technology from.
From December 2004 to April 2007,he was Vice President (Deputy Director General Level) and Deputy Secretary of Party General Branch of ACEE. From April 2007 to December 2010, he was the Deputy Director General and Deputy Party Branch Secretary in the Department of Environmental Impact Assessment of the Ministry of Environmental Protection (MEP). From December 2010 to July 2014, he took the office as the President (Director General Level) and Secretary of Party General Branch of ACEE. He was appointed the Director General of the Department of International Cooperation of MEP in July 2014. Since October 2016, he took the office as the President and Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of CRAES.
