Wang Yi, Member of the Standing Committee of the 13th National People’s Congress of the P.R.C., Member of the Environment Protection and Resources Conservation Committee, Deputy Director-General at the Institute of Policy and Management, Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), Chief Scientist and head of the Sustainable Development Strategy Study Group at the CAS, Director of Department of Sustainable Development, School of Public Policy and Management, University of CAS, Member of the National Committee of Climate Change Experts, and senior executive for organizations both in and outside China. Mr. Wang has more than 30 years of experience in sustainable development research. He focuses on public policy and development strategy research in fields covering ecological civilization system, green transformation development strategy, energy and environmental policy, climate change policy and low carbon planning, and integrated basin-wide management. He has won ministerial-level science and technology progress award (1st Class and 2nd Class), and China Youth Science and Technology Innovation Award. He is among the experts enjoying special government allowance of the State Council. He has published the annual and a series of analysis reports on China.
